edwinwaliman That's a very interesting website, I've always liked cartoon/comic strips like these because they're so witty and less in your face about things. It really makes you think about the real message behind the speech bubbles. I've never encountered cartoons championing green movement so seeing this shows just how real this environmental problem is. It shows that people do care about the environment and are using their creativity and talent to pass the message along and educate the viewers about the threats we are facing. It is indeed a very good use of one's talent.

soapandshampoo Or if you are the artsy fartsy kind, you can even make your own decor out of recycled materials! For example get like green bottles (7-up for.e.g) and cut them up and paste around the house or something.

rhcp09 This applies to all festivals and celebrations. We can use objects or recycled materials around the house to decorate our homes. We can also reuse the decorations for subsequent celebrations and festivals if we can so that there will be no need to purchase new materials for decorations.

rhcp09 Well, we can't afford to just sit around and do nothing to help save the Earth, as much as some people would like to do so. We just have to take steps and measures to reduce the environmental damage and do our part. Actions like washing cups can't be avoided. We can do things like trying not to waste water necessarily and print on both sides of the paper. This way, less damage is done.

Air pollution, water pollution, waste pollution and greenhouse gas emissions have all led to the deterioration of our environment. It is not only necessary for us to clean up our act individually to save our planet, but it is also necessary for the entire human race to do so. Like you'd mentioned, everything that we're doing causes harm to the Earth, so shouldn't we be the ones be responsible for clearing up all the mess we've created? Everyone should consciously be looking out for ways to reduce the environmental damage for we're part of the Earth. We should start by reminding each other what we need to do for our planet :)

notsosunnily Humans never used to have problems with the environment, or rather, they had never created problems for the environment. The reason why environmental damage is becoming increasingly problematic is probably because of humans.

Had we stayed undeveloped like stone-age men, the environment could probably sustain us another hundred millions of years. But man (and I mean this as a race, not a gender) will always see the need to improve and make life easier for ourselves.

Automobiles were invented because it was easier and less tiring to get around. The result? Lots and lots of air pollution.

To do nothing is one way to save the environment. But I highly doubt we're able to do such a thing. To make a contribution towards recycling, reusing and reducing, is another way.
