vin @yuli: Sometimes, people just wish to prolong Earth's life as they are being optimistic. We are just being realistic: the world is dying. Add-on randomly: Even if I do hold concrete evidences of information that the Earth may die in 2 years' time, I wouldn't release it to the mass. If I do, the world would be in a havoc. Everyone's flying here and there due to completion of some before-death wishes. There are other negative aspects to this problem as well, that may affect economics so yep.

I'm not lazy to respond to the Go Green calling, cause you can find me doing what environmentalist do as well. However, the fact is that, YES, The Earth is dying & i don't think by condemning the anti- environmentalist or even worshipping green fashion works. Like me, for an instance, since 10 years ago, my teachers been saying "Save The Earth- We should do this & we shouldn't do that". That's the pressure that kids face back then & in fact now. But do the pressure on saving Gaia that strong. No, i don't think so. jumpyqueen Isn't the hot weather a warning sign? How about the ozone layer? The whole in the ozone layer gets bigger and bigger. The earth is dying, not because of aging. It's because us, the humankind is wasting the precious and limited rescources. Hence result in global warming, air pollution, water pollution etc. Everyone of us should start our effort in saving the Earth. Stop thinking about whether it's real or not. What's real is how human beings are damaging the Earth. Cutting down trees like the trees can grow overnight again. Wasting water like water is free. In a business perspective, by spending more now on investing on a "green" product, in the long run the company may find that it will be able to save the costs for energy. In addition, customers may opt for a "green" product to save energy cost, especially during recession. This increase in demand for "green" products will further encourage the companies to "go green". As companies earn higher profit when sell energy saving products, they are also promoting the "save the earth" campaign, which benefits the earth, companies as well as the customers.

jiayi Of course , through news , advertisements and shows , it has raised my level of awareness of things happening around the world a lot . Without media , the transmission of message will not be fast hence i find that media is definitely effective in playing a key role in my awareness of what is happening to the world . For example , I get to know affairs happening in other countries through the media . Media can do a lot of stuffs which can encourage us , such as making interesting commercials that may catch the eyes of the viewer . Well , basically , the media does not have do much . Media come in many forms , be it on television or on newspapers , and these items are something we get to see everyday. The media has actually did things to help encourage Singaporeans , such as giving out newspaper at train stations where lots of people would pass by , and since its free , most of us would not mind to take it . For magazines , they usually put posters of idols inside which will encourage teenagers to buy.

A good living example is the well known television programme \" Discovery Channel \" . Newspapers, internet, television programmes, magazines and radio channels are efffective in transmitting messages to us allowing us to know what is happening around on the other parts of the world. Through television programme(national geographic) we are aware of all environmental issues for example, the impacts of global warming on endangered species as well as the impacts on us. The increase in global temperature is also announced radio channels regularly reminding us about how bad our weather\'s condition are and what precaution we can take.
