yinqing A trend that can either stay on or die off after some time. I believed it was initially set up to encourage people on going green and perhaps give people 'a new label', to look as though they care for what needs to be. Hopefully this time round going green need not sink and resurface in the later years. I would want it to be something which is part of our daily lives, something which we should all do and not let it become an option.

christelyay I think alot of it depends on how you market Green day. Like how some companies choose to brand and position themselves as being enviromentally friendly. However, some companies may claim to be eco-friendly but do not commit to reducing carbon footprints in the long run. Green day may also seem like a marketing platform to some where they can cash in on the entire 'Green' concept. It should be a lifestyle that we commit to.

logesh The exclusivity of running a green campaign or addressing green issues was of unshared value years back. I agree with you in the aspect of it becoming conventional. Someone out there in Singapore can be doing another green campaign as well. However, our opinions and our beliefs in protecting mother earth has not changed or morphed into just sheer passion for being involved in something exclusive. It's a fact that the earth is inching itself towards destruction. As men, we're able to discontinue what is happening and help make earth a better place to live. It is a real issue alongside poverty and diseases and certainly not a trend that people try to follow. It's our home so I think it's a indisputable fact that we have to take it seriously to make it a better place. :)

jessica To most of the youths, going green might be just another friendster, a trend which will die down in the later days. Just because majority of their friends are going green, there they are using recycable bags, recycling materials, going vegan etc. They should probably be aware of the main reason for going green instead of following the crowd. Only then, they are really going green.
