A Call for LADY GAIA!

Lady Gaia- a personification of our Earth and SP's icon for the Green March. So, who's going to be SP's very first Lady Gaia? In search of her, three Lady Gaia Auditions were held over the last two weeks, which saw 23 SP students coming down to audition for this much-coveted role.

"It's all about the earth and saving the environment to make our Earth a better place." This is what most of the ladies who auditioned to be Lady Gaia had to say about the SP Go Green movement.

Those who made it down for the auditions came from all over the campus; actors from the Theatre Compass, drama students, and also budding talents from different schools.

Much to our delight, most of them did not fail to impress.

The judges were awed by some of the contestants who were incredibly talented. With superb acting skills, confidence and the eagerness to represent Mother Nature, they make it hard for the judges to decide who is to be SP's very first Lady Gaia.

The panel of judges is made up of Year 3 DMC (Diploma in Media and Communication) students and CASS lecturers, Ms Chong Li Min, Ms Christina Lum and Ms Trudy Lim.

The SP Green March, which falls on the 4th August 2010 is organised in conjunction with the SP Go Green Movement. It will be run by 3rd year students of DMC as their Final Year Project. Lady Gaia, who will be hosting and leading the SP Green March will be an icon for the entire event.
